Naya Pradesh, the terraformed planet that Shyam lives on and Talita is docked at to repair a broken part of the Runaway spacecraft, is in an S-type orbit around a yellow G-class star. The other star in the system is a considerably more distant M-class red giant. It’s locally known as the night sun, because when it’s visible at night, it’s just bright enough to hide the other stars and turn the sky a dim orange color.
Binary star systems are conceptually rather romantic, don’t you think?
